I wasn’t even aware of the controversy surrounding the author until after I read it, so I only felt weird in retrospect, but it honestly didn’t affect how much I liked the book. I thought Anna was a great narrator, and I was really invested in her. I just found reading it to be a fun experience and I allowed myself to just let go and enjoy the ride.
